For my painting with light assignment instead of having the camera still and "paint" with a flashlight I decided to keep the lights still and move the camera around while on a long exposure to create tails of light. I tried this method a few different times in different scenarios, the first being above, I found some cool store fronts with lots of different coloured neon lights and took a ton of photos. The one above is my favourite.

For this next photo I went for a little more of an abstract image. To get this photo I set up two different forms of light, a flashlight and a set of wire string lights. I liked how the two lights had different warmths as the flash light produced more of a blue-ish trail and the string lights were much warmer, producing more of a red/orange appearance.

This last photo didn't exactly turn out how I wanted it to but I thought I'd include it anyways. I got this effect by zooming the lens in while the shutter was still closed. If I were to redo this photo I would have brought a tripod with me to reduce my hands from shaking while taking the photo to get a more smooth light drag.
